The Future's Open Wide
By Hannibal Tabu, Editor-in-Chief

Urgh.

Time is in short supply, and I looked at the calendar to realize that some of it had passed me by. Passed us by. Like we were less a cadre of literary ascendants and more like the Pharcyde -- disorganized, disparate and unproductive.

There have been challenges. Family struggles, losses of life, professional and personal commitments hungry for more, always more.

Through it all we write. The apprentices are back in operation, turning in assignments and working on new ones.

I'd like to say more, but the work speaks for itself. Yes, I'll keep plugging in short fiction when the team needs me.

But now, I need sleep. Enjoy the work, and we're not done. Not by a long shot. We've seen the future, and it's getting better all the time.
