Our Man in Hawthorne

More From Hannibal Tabu
Hannibal Tabu is a son, brother, uncle, and friend.

A professional writer, editor and web producer, Hannibal lives in Hawthorne, California, and has worked with companies as varied as AOL, Quicken.com, Kaiser Permanente, Toyota Motor Sales, Express.com, California Association of REALTORS, Disney Channel, eHobbies/NextPlanetOver.com and American Honda.

For more than a decade, Hannibal has worked as a journalist, being published in Vibe, Black Enterprise, The Source, Rap Pages, the Los Angeles Sentinel and on MTV Online. His writing dates back to age eight (when he wrote a truly atrocious novel about a very petty pantheon of gods), and has since seen his work published in The Drumming Between Us, Voices From Leimert Park, Drumvoices Review, (Sic) Vice Verse and other anthologies.

Former editor-in-chief of the Los Angeles Herald-Dispatch group of newspapers, he's the author of novels The Crown: Ascension (on Amazon) and the forthcoming Faraway, slated to be published on British imprint Writers of Worlds.

He blogs avidly on MySpace and publishes 140-character missives on Twitter. His website can be found at www.operative.net.
